Study Tour of Australia Naval Infrastructure – Home of Australia’s $90 billion Shipbuilding Program
Date: 23 October 2019
Time: 11.00am – 2.00pm
Cost: $90.00 per ticket
Strictly limited to 25 conference delegates. Preference will be given to interstate delegates.
A unique opportunity exists to explore the $90 billion state of the art shipbuilding facilities being constructed at Osborne South Australia. The tour will take delegates through the Western coastal region of Adelaide with commentary along the way on digital integration to projects in each of the four western Councils.
Managed by Australian Naval Infrastructure and federally owned, you will see firsthand and learn about the defence contracts to build 12 Submarines and 9 Future Frigates and the economic and business opportunities nationally that support these multigenerational contracts.
Delegates will undertake a walking tour of the facility, view the ship lift and be able to hear from Australian Naval Infrastructure. There will be an opportunity for questions and answers regarding the defence projects on the return journey.
As this is a construction site, delegates will be provided with full personal protective equipment including steel capped shoes, hard hats, vests and glasses.
