Study Tour 1: The Blue Economy
Tuesday, 13 October 2026 Explore how Hobart has become a global leader in marine, Antarctic and climate science, and the critical role it plays in shaping the blue economy. This immersive experience offers rare access to world-class research facilities and the scientists driving innovation in ocean and environmental research. Highlights of the tour include: * An exclusive, behind-the-scenes tour of the Institute for Marine and Antarctic Studies (IMAS), including advanced laboratories and research facilities * Insights from leading researchers on cutting-edge work in marine science, climate change and threatened species conservation * A visit to CSIRO’s Hobart Marine Laboratories, home to Australia’s Marine National Facility and the RV Investigator * Exploration of CSIRO’s world-leading marine and environmental research programs $110 per person 9:15am - 2:30pm Lunch included Limited to 30 pax *Delegates will be required to wear enclosed shoes for this tour.
